Jean-François Fourtou
Jean-François Fourtou is a French visual artist known for large-scale sculptural installations that challenge perception and scale.
Morocco Connection
Fourtou took up residence at Dar El Sadaka (meaning "the one who seeks" in Sanskrit and "house of friendship" in Arabic) in 2000, transforming a former fortified farm near Marrakech into a continuously evolving art environment. The property has served as an artist residency, a humanitarian foundation headquarters, and an immersive gallery. His architectural interventions include upside-down houses and oversized domestic objects that turn the Moroccan landscape into a surrealist canvas.
