The centerpiece of Morocco's 2030 FIFA World Cup infrastructure, the Grand Stade de Casablanca will hold 115,000 spectators, making it the largest stadium in Africa and the third-largest in the world. The design draws on Moroccan architectural traditions — the exterior facade references geometric patterns found in zellige tilework. Located in the Benslimane area between Casablanca and Rabat, it will be connected to both cities by high-speed rail. The stadium represents Morocco's ambition to host the world's biggest sporting event and signal its arrival as a continental power. Construction began in 2024 with completion targeted for 2029.
